This Privacy Policy explains how Tharsis Investigations LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Field Surveillance Log application (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: the email address you use to register and sign in.
• Log entry data: case names or file numbers, notes you enter or dictate, timestamps, and GPS coordinates you generate while using the Service.
• Payment information: subscription payments are processed directly by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number; we retain only limited billing status information (such as plan type and active/canceled status) needed to manage your access.

Photos you attach while using the Service remain stored locally on your device only and are not uploaded to our servers in the current version of the Service.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information collected to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including syncing your log entries to your private account;
• Verify and manage your subscription status;
• Respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account;
• Maintain the security and integrity of the Service.

We do not use your log entry content, case notes, or location data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Log entry data and account information are stored using Supabase, a third-party database provider, with Row Level Security enforced so that each user can only access their own data. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted or stored through the Service.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on the following third-party providers to operate the Service, each of which processes limited information on our behalf under their own privacy and security practices:

• Supabase — account authentication and data storage.
• Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
• Netlify — hosting of the Service's web application.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and log entry data for as long as your account remains active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains associated with your account unless you request deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, export of, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting kevin.kubitskey@gmail.com. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for use by professional adults and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
